BrandsMarketCalc — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 August 2026

This policy explains what BrandsMarketCalc does with data when it is installed on a Shopify store. BrandsMarketCalc is operated by LUX MENOR UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Karlsplatz 3, 80335 Munich, Germany.

What the app reads

BrandsMarketCalc reads product data from the store it is installed on: titles, vendors, tags, product types, images, inventory levels, and for each variant the selling amount, the compare-at value and the unit cost. It reads this data only while a merchant is using the app or running an update.

What the app writes

The app writes variant selling amounts, product titles, tags, the product status and the gender metafield — and only for the products a merchant has explicitly selected. It never changes the compare-at value.

What the app does not access

BrandsMarketCalc requests no access to customer data, orders, addresses, payment details or financial records. It cannot read them. When the app is submitted to Shopify it is declared as not requiring protected customer data.

What is stored on our server

One record per installed store: the store's myshopify domain and the access token Shopify issues at installation. Nothing else. The server runs in Frankfurt, Germany, on infrastructure provided by Fly.io.

Everything the merchant configures — brand factors, looked-up market figures, cost settings and tag rules — is stored in metafields on the merchant's own Shopify store, not on our server. If the app is removed, that configuration stays with the merchant.

Deletion

When a merchant uninstalls the app, Shopify notifies us and the stored session record is deleted. Shopify also sends a shop redaction request 48 hours after uninstallation; on receiving it we delete any remaining record for that store. Because we hold no customer data, customer data requests and customer redaction requests return nothing to disclose or erase.

Third parties

We do not sell, share or transfer any store data to third parties. We use no analytics, advertising or tracking services inside the app. The only external service involved is our hosting provider, Fly.io, which stores the session records described above.

Legal basis and your rights

We process this data to provide the app under the contract with the merchant (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). Merchants may request information about, correction of, or deletion of their stored data at any time by writing to the address below. They may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
